Where Do I Go From Here?

A unique tour of diving options with an introduction to local diving

Do you wonder if there's more to diving and ecotourism than splashing into tropical waters twice a year?

Are you curious about dive sites here at home, intrigued by the convenience of diving locally but concerned about the difficulty or accessibility?

Did you know that our local waters have abundant reefs, shallow wrecks, and even shark cage diving?

Have you ever asked yourself what it would be like to dive under ice?  In a cave?  To see inside a historic wreck?

Would you like to swim with a dolphin or eye a shark up close?  Are you wondering if it's safe, humane, or ecologically responsible?

Wonder how you can share your passion for the ocean with your children or families, or use your passion to protect it?

If you can aswer yes to any of the above questions, please join us on Friday, August 6, 2010  for a unique and personal view of local diving and other diving options from the perspective of a diving educator, explorer, and conservationist who's been asking - and answering - these questions for himself for years.   Learn about the equipment, ideosyncrasies, and histories of a variety of diving pursuits.  Get a glimpse of how your diving can help promote environmental and conservation efforts and awareness.    Discover opportunities to dive locally, frequently, and inexpensively, many without the need of additional skills and equipment.

Topics covered will include:

* Paths to diver advancement
* Alternate diving forms and venues
* Introduction to local diving and our local dive schedule
* Equipment considerations
* Options for picking up new skills
* Involving the family
* Making a difference - putting your and skills to social and ecological use

For each topic, this presentation will include what to expect, how to prepare, and the rewards, as well as the always important training requirements for each.

This presentation is recommended for anyone; whether you're experienced and ready to take a step into a new form of diving or want to set a future goal and to know how to prepare for it.

Do come and join us.  Then tell us where you want to go.  We'll get you there.
