DIVE THE USS ORISKANY

May 2009

The significance of bringing her to Pensacola, Florida isn't lost on the many individuals who have served aboard this historic vessel. Pensacola, known as the "Cradle of Naval Aviation", makes it the perfect resting place for the  USS Oriskany CV/CVA 34.  At 911 feet  long, 157 feet wide, and over 150 feet tall, she is the largest vessel ever sunk as an artificial reef.  She's upright on the bottom.  Depth to the top of the ship is 69', and the flight deck is at 135.  There's plenty to see above 100' making her a great dive for all skill levels!   You will be impressed with the variety of sealife that she attracts including, Rays, Grouper, Amberjacks, Billfish, Tuna, Wahoo, Amberjcks and more!
